In this workshop will explore how to strengthen our "core muscles," which will include those parts of our body that are used to maintain optimal health and support everyday activities. In addition, we will delve into meditations that can help us feel centered and grounded, allowing us to connect with our “core self.”
Yoga Therapy for Upper back, Neck and Shoulders
Specific yoga techniques can be used effectively to help manage pain and tension, heal existing injuries and prevent future ones. In this workshop we will explore a combination of integrative, therapeutic yoga postures and breathing techniques that support the health of the upperback, neck and shoulders. Focusing on the relationship of these areas of the body, we will share in practices that will help unwind patterns of chronic tension, and with creating functional strength, stability and flexibility for this often troublesome area.
Yoga Therapy for Digestion
This workshop will delve into traditional yoga techniques designed to support digestion and digestive disorders. We will use a combination for integrative yoga postures, breathing techniques, sound healing, and meditation. This class can support anyone who wants to improve their digestion and, more specifically, those with digestive issues like GERD, IBS, and Crohn's Disease, amongst others.
SANKALPA – YOGA, MEDITATION AND THE ART OF INTENTION

From Dark to Light - A Winter Solstice Yoga Practice
Light is an inspirational symbol that pervades many of the world’s traditions, serving as a point of reflection to better understand our highest potential and connection to the world at large. This special class will explore how the yoga tradition emphasizes the light within each of us as a metaphor for clarity, truth, consciousness and connection.
Using accessible movements, breathing practices, chanting, visualization and meditation, we will enrich our understanding of how transformational yogic meditation can help us discover a deep sense of purpose, actualize our most authentic sense of self and enrich the quality of all our relationships.
Yoga Therapy for Stress Management
Specific yoga techniques can be used effectively to help manage our stress response and alleviate symptoms caused by chronic tensions, anxiety and depression. In this workshop, we will explore a combination of integrative, therapeutic yoga postures and breathing techniques that support our nervous system. Participants will learn foundational movement, breathing and meditation principles that help to unwind patterns of chronic tension, lower stress, as well as build energy and vitality.
This workshop is intended for all levels of practitioner and will provide appropriate challenges and adaptations for each participant, facilitating a positive and nurturing experience for all.

Exploring the Yamas - Yoga, Pranayama and Meditation
During this 5-part class series we will explore the Yamas, which are considered to be the ethics of yoga and the first of the eight limbs as outlined by Patanjali. An understanding of these principles, which include non-violence, truthfulness and more, can help us delve more deeply into our practices and enrich our day-to-day lives.
Using accessible movements, breathing practices, chanting, visualization and meditation, we will explore each of the five Yamas, enriching our understanding of yoga and how it can help us to live more fulfilling, joyful lives while also enriching the quality of our relationships.
This series will provide useful meditation tools for all experience levels and is intended for anyone interested in yoga and meditation. No prior experience is necessary.

Attuning to Heart - Kirtan, Asana and Meditation
During this two-hour workshop, we will delve into yoga practices that promote healing and integrated growth in all aspects of our lives. Through Kirtan (call and response chanting), asana and meditation we will invigorate our practices, uplift our sense of connection, and learn to harmonize the inner-workings of our hearts and minds.
Chakra Sadhana - Pranayama and Meditation for Healing
During this 7-part class series we will explore the classical pranayama and meditation technique called Chakra Sadhana. The seven energetic centers of the body known as chakras offer a rich symbolism that can serve as a gateway for healing the subtle aspects of our mind, heart and spirit.
By focusing on one chakra during each class, and using movement and mediation to ground ourselves into our bodies and the breath as a vehicle for balancing our nervous system, we will develop a better understanding of body and mind while discovering insights into how we can live a fuller, more meaningful life.

Calm in the Storm - Yoga, Pranayama and Meditation for Stress Management
During this 3-part class series we will explore how movement, breath and meditation practices can be interwoven to support our nervous system. More specifically, we will explore three different pranayama techniques, including Ujjayi, Anuloma Ujjayi and Chandra Bhedana. Each of these techniques, have proven to be highly effective at supporting the nervous system.
