Yoga for the Core

This three part series will help us to create conscious, nurturing relationships with various core aspects of our life, including our body’s structure, our nervous system and our heart. These sessions are intended to help us thrive, supporting us in our journey towards greater strength, increased ease and innate joy. All Levels of practitioner are welcome.

Session 1 - Creating Structural Stability - In this first session we explore how we can use breath-centered asana (yoga postures) to cultivate functional strength and stability in our body, while also supporting our cardiovascular, respiratory and immune functions. These practices will help our body’s to feel strong and resilient.

Session 2 - Supporting the Nervous System - The second session will focus on how we can utilize our breath to support our energy and our stress response. In additional to asana, this practice will integrate pranayama, or the breath-based practices that foster increased calm, ease and clarity.

Session 3 - Opening the Heart - In our final session we will explore how meditation can help us understand ourselves more deeply, bringing deeper connection and meaning to all parts of our lives. We will explore, asana, pranayama and classic mediation practices.
